This is so true and exactly what Bass and I discussed last night. I almost instinctively want to defend and protect him from pain and stress but I know I cannot control the actions of the person causing it. However I can, and will do my best to, control my own reactions because I refuse to add to his stress level. If I allow this person to also cause me pain Bass will see it and it will only cause him to be upset for me. So my prayer for today, along with being the best partner and helpmate for him that I can, is for god to give me the strength to be in control of myself so I don't react as well as the strength to continue to pray for this person who is so hard to pray for.
