My youth group had our first meeting of 2010 yesterday

I lead a group of 3rd through 5th graders at First Christian church. I love these kids and love that our church gets they are an important part of our ministry and church family. The grandma of one of the girls offered to provide snacks and made us quite a feast. While we ate we had a fellowship time..... we caught up on what was new with each other. We talked about New Year's resolution we made and our plans for accomplishing them. We also talked about how we should not make resolutions only at New Years but also how we should try to live each and every day the way God would want us to. We gave our group a name (FCC Kids For Christ) planned some fun activities, talked about topics the kids would like to discuss and service projects we could do. The kids came up with a great plan to adopt the local cat rescue organization and raise donations of supplies and $$'s for them. AND, after all this planning, we had about 30 minutes to play in the game room. It's going to be a good year :-)
