One of my favorite quotes..... Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away. Come on in and grab a comfy seat to share what I love......my family, my faith, and creating ways to preserve the precious memories of our lives.

vandalism :-(
such a senseless act.
sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning our church was broken into and graffiti was spraypainted over several walls and items throughout the bottom 2 floors...... even in the baptistry. I am thankful it was not worse....... they did not break or steal anything and there are many irreplaceable items that were left untouched....... but the idea that someone would do this in a church just makes my heart sick :-(

Do you facebook?
As I am dealing with not being able to sleep because of the pain behind my eye and a severe headache that I have had for 3 days :-( I have been hanging out on facebook. I don't even remember who it was that first convinced me to sign up there but I am so thankful to whoever it was.
Today I hooked up with a very old and very treasured friend who I had lost contact with a few years ago. He was my best friend in NY and the hardest person for me to leave behind when Rex and I made the decision to move to Oregon. We kept in touch at first and he and his wife even visited but he moved and changed his email and we lost contact. I can't begin to describe how happy and excited I was to get an email today that he had sent a friend request on facebook. We spent a bit of time catching up before I had to log off to get the kids ready for school and it was like we had just spoken to eachother yesterday :-)
love you Ralphie :-)

read this on one of my faithbooking sites and wanted to share
and wanted to share
I'm a Christian:
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I am not shouting "I am saved;" I am whispering "I get lost", That is why I choose this way.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I do not speak of this with pride. I am confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I am not trying to be strong. I am professing that I am weak and pray for strength to carry on.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I am not bragging of success. I am admitting I have failed and cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I am not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are too visible but God believes I am worth it.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches which is why I seek His name.
When I say ... "I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know that I am loved.

My dad is home!
not out of the woods yet but home! Not in a nursing home. I spent most of the day with him yesterday so mom could take care of business...filling prescriptions, making appointments, and a couple of meetings. He was mad that i was there (typical man and does not want to admit he needs help) but said thank you when I left :-)
thanks to all who kept him and my mom in prayer and please continue to do so
