Smile for today: hilarious youtube pet video

a scrappy friend shared this on one of my lists (thanks D) As a cat lover for as long as i can remember I thought this was beyond cute. Amanda and the twins watched it over and over and laughed just as hard each time

Look what you can do!

This was done by my friend Kayla at the last second Friday crop night. She used a sketch from one of our sketch books for inspiration. I love that she is fairly new to stamping but she created some beautiful random stamped paper and embellishments to perfectly coordinate with her layout. She added random stamping to the green and barn red papers using one of the scrolly images from the Playful Petals stamp set. She also totally altered the chipboard "W" and "L" (they started as unfinished white chipboard) by inking and stamping them and then used the Cricut that is available at crops to die cut the rest of her title. Awesome job!

I can't wait to work on my latest mini album idea

I had this book custom cut by the lady who does my chipboard wordblooms after seeing something similar in one of my scrapping magazines. (For those not familiar with the wordblooms the title forms the pages with each page progressively long than the first) I will be offering it sometime in June as a "5 things I Love" workshop. I am just itching to play with my ideas for my demo but will have to wait until after the National Scrapbook Day crop

pics from the second Friday crop

Shared with the permission of the ladies there. Our little group is growing and we are having a blast! Last night we had 12 people complete with 3 Cricuts and a Cuddlebug. Several of the scrappers who were not stampers before have gotten hooked after seeing the calendar page a month project and wanting to join in. They are amazed at how easy it is and are already incorporating stamping into their own pages also to create the perfect patterned papers and embellishments. So much fun to watch! There is always room for more so come and join us anytime.

Other dates to remember May 3rd: National Scrapbook Day crop at Sherri's in the private dining room from 9-4 (lunch on your own). May 31st: crop from noon to 8pm complete with dinner. Both crops will also include make and takes and fun goodies. Contact me to reserve your spot.

looking forward to a weekend of creating

We have had the flu bug at my house all week. Thankfully I waited until the kids were done before I got it but I was sooooo dizzy yesterday I could not even do my usual Friday night play time. I am looking forward to spending the day in my scrap studio today and also to the second Friday crop on the 11th. I have the April calendar page ready to go but have decided to not give a sneak peek this time so you'll just have to come to the crop to see it :-) I also have a bunch of new pictures waiting to be picked up and a ton of fun ones from our mini vacation waiting to be ordered. I have so many layout ideas floating around in my head I can hardly wait to get started. What are you getting ready to create?
